Signing up only takes a
minute and enables you to buy or rent an unlimited number of films on a pay-per-view basis.
We won't share your email address with anyone and you can unsubscribe at any time. After
registering you will receive a confirmation e-mail with an activation link. Just click on
the link to become a registered member and to enjoy all the benefits of our download
service.
Please make sure you are able to meet our basic system requirements before downloading. At the
moment you can only play movies through windows media player. Our service isn’t currently compatible with Apple
Mac’s but we are working on it.
Once registered, you can access
your details via the My Account screens. Here you can change your password and enter or
modify your billing details. All information is stored securely, so there’s no need to
worry.
To download and play your movies you will
also need to install our Download Manager.
This only takes a few minutes and it makes downloading easy. Download Manager gets your
movies, tells you which ones are downloading and how long they will take to finish. If your
Broadband connection goes down it will also automatically resume your download as soon as
you are back on line.
Once files are downloaded
click the play button to launch
windows media player and your video will start playing straight away. If you

If you know
which film you are after, use our search tool to find it quickly. You can search for titles
based on title, actor, director or genre. Alternatively you can browse through our large
catalogue of titles by clicking on the collections listed on the left hand side of the home
page (genre, studio, new releases etc).
We sell films on a rental
or purchase basis. Titles ‘To Rent’ give you a 7 day window for watching the film once
download is completed. As soon as you start playing the movie, a 24 or 48 hour viewing
period kicks in. After this time the film can no longer be played but you can play, stop,
rewind or fast-forward the film as many times as you like within the viewing period. All
this information is clearly displayed in the Basket before you complete your purchase.
Titles which you purchase ‘To Own’ have a different license that enables
you to watch them as many times as you like. These titles are known as bundles because
they comprise multiple digital files and sometimes a DVD. Two digital files are
delivered, one for your computer and a smaller file that can be synchronised to your
portable video player.
Please note, not all films
are available in both Purchase and Rent formats.
So you have found the film you want, read the synopsis and seen the trailer and all you
need to do now is buy it. Simply select the title and add it to your basket – you can add as
many titles as you like. Once you have finished shopping, view your basket contents and
proceed to payment. If you haven’t already entered in your payment details via the My
Account pages, don’t worry just click the Add Card button and away you go.
As soon as you have completed payment your download manager will start downloading
your files automatically. If you haven’t already installed the download manager,
just click on the link at the end of the payment process to get it up and running. As
soon as it’s installed it will automatically start downloading your files for you.
Installing the Vizumi Download Manager could not be easier,
just click on the link, select ‘run’ and the application will download – click ‘run’ again
to start the installation wizard and follow the on-screen instructions.
The Download Manager can be installed on as many computers as you like. As part
of the installation you should give your computer a name – like Home Laptop – this
will enable you to identify which computer you want your movies to be sent to. For
example, you may be using your account at work but want to download your movie to your home
computer. Simply choose the correct destination (home computer) from the drop down list when
you pay for your film. As soon as you are online and have Download Manager running, the film
will start downloading at home.
Don’t forget – you will need
Download Manager installed on the machine you want to send the file to first! Files cannot
be transferred from one computer to another (although we are working on it!)
So you have Download Manager installed, you have bought your movie now all you need
to do is sit back and wait. Depending on how fast your broadband connection is a
typical feature film will take between 30 minutes and 2 hours to download. Download
manager will estimate the time it will take to download for you.
Once the download is complete a license All our movies
are protected by Windows Digital Rights Management software to prevent piracy. This
means each file has a license that determines how many times a file can be played
and if it can be synchronised to other machines. To view the license details of your
files just right-click the title in windows media player and select properties and the
license tab (this info should display in a new pop up window) will automatically
be issued. Then all you have to do is click the play button and Windows Media Player will
automatically launch and start playing your movie. To view your files off line, simply
launch windows media player and select the Vizumi playlist from the library.
